Happy New Year!

Would you like to generate powerful energy for what you want to create in 2023?

I love the milestone of the passing from one year to the next.

It’s a perfect time to reflect back on the past year…. And then look forward to consciously create your year ahead.  With all of the turbulence in our countries and in the world, more than ever we are all needed to step up and play the role that is uniquely ours to play.

It’s time to share your talents, skills and gifts with a world that desperately needs them.

Future-oriented, solution-focused questions can generate powerful energy to create what we want in our lives.

2023 New Year Reflection

December 21, 2022

For many years it’s been my annual tradition to write this letter during winter solstice in the northern hemisphere of planet Earth. Tonight will be the longest night of the year. It seems like a perfect transition time to reflect on what we want to let go of in our life, and with ‘the return of the light’ be intentional about what we want to create in the year ahead.

I find that most people want to experience less stress and greater wellbeing, to improve the quality of their relationships, and to have high performance with more ease and flow. I often hear that people would like to turn conflict into collaboration; to feel calm, centered and resourceful regardless of what is happening around them; to create innovative solutions to problems; and to implement them with sustainable results.

Does this sound good to you?

But there are so many challenges in the times we are living in, this isn’t easy. People are bombarded with information and tasks, often feel overwhelmed, and may find it challenging to coordinate action with others. Even if we know that where we focus our attention affects our flow of energy and the results we get, it’s often a struggle to focus our thoughts, time and energy on the most productive things. We are also surrounded by ‘negative news,’ and collectively we are experiencing increased stress, anxiety, distraction and concerns in our homes, our workplaces and our communities.

Our old ways of coping are no longer adequate. Now more than ever, we need everyone to cultivate the qualities of being ‘adaptively resilient,’ and to show up as our best self. When we make an internal transformational change and live our lives with a forward-focused approach, we can accomplish goals faster and easier with much less stress and more enjoyment! We can turn conflict into collaboration, and create breakthrough results that are sustainable.

Please do not underestimate the power you have to make a positive difference. One way to do this is to ask forward-focused, solution-oriented questions. You can play a leadership role in every conversation you have.

This ‘forward focus’ approach is the foundation of my New Year Reflection questions. I encourage you to spend some quiet time reflecting on these questions for yourself, and to use them to engage in some juicy conversation with others.

For many years I have shared these questions with family, friends and colleagues.  Many people have told me they love these questions, and I am delighted to offer them so you can share them with the people in your life. It’s particularly fun to hear the various ways people use them with their loved ones during holiday gatherings.

Remember that when we each show up as our best self and do something positive every day, collectively we will change the world ~ one thought, one word, one action at a time ~ as long as we stay focused on what we want to create.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

I wish you a year of accomplishment, collaboration, and joy in your work and in your life!

THANK YOU for all the ways you are making a difference.

To your success,
